Lemosho Route
The Scenic Route
West side of the mountain
Overview
Lemosho starts on the remote western side of the mountain — a quieter, more remote forest section that joins the Machame trail at Barranco. The extra day in the highlands gives your body more time to adapt, which is exactly why summit rates on the 8-day Lemosho are consistently among the highest on Kilimanjaro.
