Payment
How you pay, and when
No payment is taken when you first request a trip. Once we confirm dates, lodging, and the final quote, you settle a deposit, then the balance ahead of arrival. Here are the methods we accept and the schedule we use.
Methods accepted
- Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (via a secure Stripe link)
- PayPal
- Bank transfer in USD, EUR, GBP, or TZS
- M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, and Airtel Money (East African travellers)
Schedule
- 30% deposit to confirm dates and lock lodging
- Balance due 30 days before arrival
- For Kilimanjaro climbs, park fees are due 14 days before the start date
Cancellation refunds
Most refunds depend on lodge and park-fee policies, which we'll itemise on your invoice. Generally: full refund 60+ days out, partial 30–59 days out, none inside 30 days. We recommend trip insurance — happy to suggest providers.
